I tasted the Calumet 10yr at the LS. It wasn't a bad pour at all. I had read that the 12yr was a bit better so, I opted for that and we opened it up on the spot & gave the owners (hubby & wife) a taste. We all agreed the 12yr was a bit better.

I'd hang on to that one. The rest of them are always warehouse H. [emoji4]

I think it’s a sloppy H sadly

Nearly 110,000 bottle difference from the original release one and my new one! That’s a lot of ‘hidden away and long forgotten in the back of the rickhouses’ barrels! The guy probably lost his job and they profited haha. Commercialism. None the less love the flavor and got another. IMG_1397.jpgIMG_1398.jpg

Ashamed to say I shelf-cleared:  Baker's, all two of them.B)  EDIT - in a store owned and managed by Montgomery County MD.

Is Baker’s going away?

Picked up these. I was starting to wonder if I'd score a EHT BP again.  This is the 129.7.  And looking forward to trying the Bday with the nice proof on that one.

Couple of Russell's reserve single barrel store picks. Been really enjoying these lately.

K&L picks?  I just finished their 17-545 warehouse D and thought it was pretty good.  Glad I got it for $44 instead of $60, tho.  Got a couple of their other picks at clearance price that I'm looking forward to trying.

Indeed, Ill check tonight when I get home which one, but I got one of the last round of clearout bottles as well and loved it so much I got several more immediately. When these picks go down to mid 40s in price I can't resist. Too good a value for great bourbon.

I don't think so.  It had been a few years (like maybe ten) since I'd had any.  Following a discussion of Baker's here on SB.com, I bought a bottle.  I loved it.  I bought another and loved it, too.  HENCE, I concluded it is bunker-worthy so I don't have to keep driving to stores although I may carry a spare in my trunk with my other spares just in case . . .

Have to love when your old store in the home state still remember what you like! Went in just to visit and left with ECBP C918 and my second GTS of the season. It has been a very good fall season for sure.

Just a Baker’s for me, & a ER & BT that I’ll use for Christmas gifts.

Sad story...  There’s supposed to be a Blanton’s in the pic too, but the lady didn’t put it into the bag.  I grabbed these 3 hours away from home & it being a state store I highly doubt they will ship it, & there’s no way in hell I’m driving back for it.  ?

Stagg Jr batch 11 (127.9 proof) has hit in VA ABC stores. Only one store around me had them in stock, and I stopped by today on my lunch break to grab one at $52.99. The guy at the store amazingly actually knew a lot about bourbon, which is a first for VA ABC, where they usually just stare at you blankly when you ask them a question off-script. So that was nice to see a fellow aficionado in the area.

Purchased, opened, and enjoying.

Not usually a fan of finished or ‘second barreled’ stuff but the team at Old Forester did a great job. Still opening up, I may post notes later.

How does it compare to OF1920? What’s the better buy?

Picked up some JTS Brown since I just happened to be way on the other side of town, near the place that usually has it.  This latest batch reminds me a lot of the improved EW BIB - nice.

Still getting to know this one. If I had to pick one it would be 1920.

1915 would be interesting. Some of the proof from ‘20 and oak and funk from ‘10.

Picked up a Joseph Magnus Triple Cask and a Witherspoon Port Finished.  Tis the season for barrel finishes.  They feel like desert pours on my palate.

Picked up a Michters Toasted today. I’ve never had one so I figured what the heck.

I grabbed one a month or so ago. It has become my Wife's personal bottle. You definitely get the toasted instead of char. I think it unique and pretty good, but seem to pass it by when wanting a pour. My Wife is pleased with that...

Picked up a 1792 BiB store pick, a 1L BT, an EC NAS store pick, an OF1910, and a JJB SiB. Really didn't plan on much more than the EC pick, but we all know how that goes...
