To be honest, I don't know if they are still around.  WE really enjoyed OSJ but I went to the Aracebo telescope while it was still functional.  I also went to phosphorescent bay at Mayguez and, as  a microbiologist, was fascinated by it.  I worked on dairy down by the beach and  while I was out walking in one of the pastures was told to watch out for the coconuts.  I was told that they woudl lose 1-2 cows a year from a falling coconut. I thought they were kidding until the herd manager confirmed it.

You pick that up at Barton Tim? I know if I was heading to Bardstown, I’d probably be bringing back a few bottles. I like BT Bourbon Cream. I like the Barton Chocolate Bourbon Ball even more. @ENYAW and @lilsweetpea hooked me on it a few years ago when they insisted I try it at the GN. I had to make a special trip to Barton the next day to grab a couple of bottles to bring home. Sure wish we could get it here in Illinois.

Buffalo Trace wheated mash white dog and mango nectar, I know, but it is sooo good. The real question though - I started a bourbon infinity bottle a while back with some fantastic bourbons and will be winding up with a shot or two of white dog wheated and the rye mash.  Would you add either or both to an infinity bottle or just keep it aged bourbons?

I’m having a rare (for me) pre-dinner pour, to celebrate opening night for my Texas Rangers. 
 

I’m going with a sample pour given to me from my Brother, a PS of Bulliet. It really is singing tonight. 
 

Here is to Opening weekend of MLB, The Masters Golf tournament and the Spring season that accompanies both.

A friend brought it back for me. Barton is one place I never got to. Bummed they aren't doing tours any more.

 

Had a local store virtual dinner/tasting/lottery tonight. 

I was able to do sbs of LOT B/W12 and ORVW/OWA. They were both SUPER close. I'd never pick them out in a blind.  The 2021 THH was VERY good.

Well, the season didn’t begin to well for The Rangers, but there is 161 games left 😁
Moved onto OF1920, a fresh crack tonight. 
This one has truckloads of scorched brown sugar going on. Yep, a keeper 👍

Opened my OF 1920 today also. I tried to blind it against one of my favorites, John J Bowman, but the difference in proof made it obvious which was which.  Needless to say, but I'll say it anyway, this stuff is definitely worth the price of admission. Gotta go back to my favorite local LS and see if they have any more on the shelf. 

There's a lot going on in this glass; banana, rye spice, barrel char, buttered popcorn, cherries.  Okay, I'll stop now, I'm gushing. This is one that, for me at least, lives up to the hype.

Funny, so many pick up bananas from Brown Foreman products, but not me. 🤷‍♂️

Just as an FYI, its available all over KY now, not just the Barton gift shop.  I got 2 bottles in western KY last week for $25 each.  They were available in several stores.

I wish I could help you more @Bret Bret. I had a couple of 375’s of the BT wheated white dog. I’d add a splash in my “experiments” here and there. 😉 One time I even did a mini batch of one of my Weller Blends with the express intent of adding some of the wheated white dog. 😛 Have fun and enjoy!

BT’s website has three White Dog’s listed. Mashbill #1, Wheat and Rye.

Roger that. Thanks!

Years ago,  we took the hard hat tour at BT, and the gentleman leading the tour filled up a big glass of the White dog #1, from a sweet Buffalo head tap, and passed it around.  Ever since then,  I've kept a bottle on hand, to scratch that occasional itch, when the mood hits

Setting up for the evening.  The Sun has finally broken out, and I sprung into action!  TV moved outside to watch the last several holes of the Master’s third round.  Radio ready for Braves afterwards.  Fire started in the fireplace.  Oliva ignited.  Knob Creek 9 in the glass. I should probably eat, but I’ll figure that out later…. 🤪

Every time I have a pour,  it takes me back to a great day at the distillery.

Relaxing after changing over an old safe from mechanical to electronic and tuning up/cleaning two Dyson vacuums and replacing their main brushes.  The safe was classic but the old S & G cylinders were getting touchy and my old hands aren’t as steady as they once were.  
All of this Buffalo Trace talk can’t be an accident.  First pour of the evening.

Mama’s out of town, so I spent the day with the kids. After putting them down, Daddy’s getting a well deserved pour.

My last pour of SJR batch 15 while at the in-laws. Hanging out watching the Masters, Braves baseball, and the UFC prelims all at the same time. Great Saturday evening.
