ggilbertva
This afternoon I had a nice pour of EWSB 1995. First time with that one and I thought it was better than the '96 or '97.

mgilbertva
I had a spicey Sicilian sub sandwich for lunch accompanied by some of the mildly spicy Blenheims Ginger Ale, and wanted a little bit of whiskey to chase it for dessert. Handy popped into mind, and that, my friends, was the right choice. The tasting comments on the fact sheet for Handy mention allspice, ginger, and I think that's right on the money. I also find caramel, molasses, a barnyard-raisin element found in some tawny ports and Amorones, blue floral notes. Sometimes bubble gum shows up, but not today. Huge finish.I love this whiskey. Chupacabras
So far I've pulled (apart from the beers) a couple ERSB's, an Old Forrester BB '05 and a Talisker 10... think I'll have a chat with my old 20 year Pappy... for some reason I can only catch the subtlety of that bourbon when I'm half in the bag. Prost!
boss302
Right now, I'm switching back and forth between the following:1) Glenmorangie 18-year, American Oak2) Bladnoch 15-year Single Cask3) Brugal Anejo Rum4) Blanton's Single Barrel BourbonI drink whatever I'm in the mood for, and that's not even my full list. Yes, I really am very eclectic.
JamesW
Last night I had a Lot B and then 2 pours of ORVW 10/107... I'm thinking I like the ORVW 10/107 a touch better than the Lot B and it is definitely a bargain.

mgilbertva
Had dinner at our local brewpub, and enjoyed a bourbon stout and then a pale ale with dinner. Got home and washed it down with Wiser's Very Old 18 YO. It's Canadian but in a blind test I wouldn't guess it was 80pf. Very good stuff - recommended. StraightBoston
Last night was a comparison of some (Old) Kentucky Tavern 8yos from the 60s and 70s -- interesting noses, but only so-so taste and mouthfeel. I think these were my first Glenmore expressions.

PhilsFan
I'm having my first taste of VOB 100 BIB...I like it...It has a little more heat than I expected. I thought I'd try a little Weller Antique side by side to compare. The Weller is a little sweeter, but both are great bourbons, and for $14 (VOB) and $19 (Antique) they're both really good values.-Joe
