Lost Pollito
Weller btac 2010. Another great bourbon. Funny....but, it seemed to get more intense and hotter as I sipped it. More intense than last years offering.

OscarV
Four Roses OBSO recipe, Binny's selection, neat.I picked this bottle up Saturday at Binny's South Loop store and I am glad I did.It is in yo face and a very nice place as far as bourbons go. I have now tried 4 of the 10 4R recipes, I rank those 4 in this order.1. OESO & OBSK2. OBSK & OESO3. (bye week)4. (bye week)5. OBSO6. (bye week)7. OESQSo far so good, I love them all.Oh, btw Chi-Town was great.Met up with Cowdery at Delilah's, lotsa great booze there.Among others I had a '98 WTKS. M14Shooter
Decided to go with the wheaters .Started with Jeffersons Reserve Presidential 17 followed by current release of WLW.I have a hard time staying away from the Weller. Its so dam good. The Jefferson was very good but the Weller just rocks.Regards,Mike
SMOWK
Makers 46. Giving this one another go around. So far, this bottle is better than the first. Maybe I was a bit too critical the first time around.I'll add that I'm on the back deck with a cigar as well. To me, all bourbon tastes better with a cigar in the other hand. bourbonNOOG
Dad and I had a wee pour of WRMC Seasoned Oak after dinner... well actually it turned into a couple of wee pours. I don't care what anyone says, that is some delicious stuff.
unclebunk
Had a few pours of Jim Beam 7 Year Old Distillers Select last night. This juice doesn't challenge you in any way but has a very pleasant flavor and is incredibly easy to drink. It may, in fact, be an ideal bourbon to share with non-bourbon drinking friends who want to check out what all the fuss is about.
unclebunk
Weller btac 2010. Another great bourbon. Funny....but, it seemed to get more intense and hotter as I sipped it. More intense than last years offering. That's precisely what my brother said. A bit more heat but tasty just the same.

TomH
Poured the Redemption Bourbon last night along with the Harrison Governor's Reserve. At first I didn't taste the same profile, but when I lowered the proof on the Harrison (114) to near the Redemption (92) the profiles seemed very similar so it appears that the Redemption Bourbon did come from LDI (at least to my taste buds).Tom
SMOWK
FR1B after OWA, OWSR, ERSB, Pikesville Rye, & GTS '10. The Four Roses bourbons are really starting to grow on me. This bottle has hung around for quite a while, and it's gotten better and better. I think it might be me, starting to find flavors that I really like in there. Tonight, I found a candy version of cinnamon. Like cinnamon gum. What is that stuff, Beemans or something like that? Anyway....The GTS stole the show. Great stuff this year. A lot wetter than any of the Stagg's I've tasted to date. This first bottle has disappeared quickly, although I don't seem to remember where it went. White Dog
Started with 2008 Handy before moving to FR1B Limited 2009. That 2009 Roses is pure butter when slightly cut.
DeanSheen
Had a small pour fo the last of my FRsmB and have continued the theme by finishing off my OGD 114.I think I'll move to some 2010 GTS after this OGD is gone.
Gillman
A Sazerac from a bottle I've been working on for some time. I found initially it was too much: too sweet, too much brandy (this was half bourbons, half brandies), too much absinthe. I've made additions of bourbon for some time now and it has balanced out the drink. It offers everything I mentioned but in the right proportions. Thanks to Steve who gave some constructive advice on an earlier version of this I brought to Randy's party earlier this year.Gary

SMOWK
This rye is amazing because at 25yo you taste no wood.I know a place with a few each of the 21, 23, and 25. I've been holding out to pull the trigger, as they're all over $100, and I haven't seen too many reviews. I trust you Oscar, so I think I'll pass. I like the wood.
