nblair
Oh yeah right, it was from Warehouse SS Barrel No 15-IC or is that 15-1C?Reid I saw recently that you got a bottle of the 40th that you weren't so pleased with, is it the same one? This one was a real letdown.Well damn, I just picked up a bottle of the Four Roses 120th from 2008. I was wanting to get a Rutledge 40th to compare, but now maybe not...:skep:.

Gillman
Woodstone Creek Barrel #2, the first one issued. The bottle has sat for about 2 years half-full, with a wine cork inserted to replace the original stopper. It is excellent and better than I recall on issuance. The two years with the big head space must have matured it further in some way (Scott/callmeox, you've got something there). A rich full tasting whiskey with some of the congeneric "slatey" taste I recall from the bottle when new but softened down and more subtle. A true 1800's-style pot still bourbon.Gary

nor02lei
I had quit a few pours yesterday. Vintage 21 rye and old-time 86,8 Dickel 8 before dinner, Stagg 2009 and WLW 2008 after, home made mead that I got from my oldest son with the late soft saffron cake for dessert and a gin and tonic as a night cap. Stagg was the hit of that day and I was also satisfied that the mead worked with the cake as I had predicted.Leif
Scrub
My only bourbon yesterday was a "Manhattan" on the rocks at a party I was attending. They did a bad job on it. It was pretty much a double or triple MM on the rocks with maybe a a dash in it. Not a bad deal for me though since it was a cash bar. 3 for 1 special.
