Eagle Rare 10 year old Single Barrel. A small local chain got together with a local yacht club/events center and had a charity-based tasting to pick a barrel of Eagle Rare. They picked an absolute gem! The store then sells the bottles at $25. I have been fortunate to have about 4 bottles this year. Last night I enjoyed a few pours on the rocks.

Two holiday parties last night. One had some sort of punch/bourbon and grapefruit juice conconction that was actually pretty good, although I'm clearly not going to make it a regular pour. The other party's host is not a bourbon drinker, but knows I am and specifically went to the store so he'd have some on hand. The guy at the store talked him into Angel's Envy, which went down pretty well. A couple others there tried it and like it as well.

Found out we were having a baby girl in May and cracked the top on a 2013 WLW with some good friends. My first experience of WLW and it was worth the hunt. Too bad I can't get more of this stuff....

Last night at the wife's company Christmas party, asked what bourbon they were pouring (usually Makers). This time....Kentucky Gentleman. I tried it. I shouldn't have

EW White Label finally made its way to AZ! Seems to have brought a friend, EW 1783. I picked up a family size of the white label for $26-ish.... looking forward to getting the 1783 as well.

Congrats on the good news! If she's anything like my now-seven year old angel, she'll give you many more occasions to sip (or chug, as the case may be).

Had a couple pours of Stagg jr again last night. Again, a pour neat and a splash of water on second pour. Enjoyable. A bit hot neat but still enjoyable.

Finished the last 3oz of a standard FRSB at a friend's holiday party then tried the Kirkland Signature 7 year bourbon... a bit too much wood and char for the light flavors. I wouldn't buy it, but I wouldn't turn down a pour if the selection is limited.

Poured the last of my OGD 114, and it wasn't sufficient by itself (probably 2/3 an oz?), so I threw in some HW Double Rye - and it was freaking amazing! Need to get more OGD 114 to try mingling this with some time. An instant mingle in the glass (probably 2:1 ratio, but didn't measure so who knows) and I loved it.

Went to the wife's office holiday party last night and learned that I need to start carrying a flask to such events. The selection of beer and spirits was abysmal. Rectified that afterword with some Larceny and OFBIB. Found that I surprisingly preferred the BIB, which is good since I won't be able to replace the Larceny anytime soon. Polishing off the weekend with some Kahns SB OWA, Benchmark SB, and ECBP.

OGD114 and Ritt BIB is one of my favorite blends. Usually, 1:1 or 2:1 (bourbon to rye).

A pour of a local store selection ER10. I just opened it, it's a little woody, but hopefully with some air it will open up.

FR SmB LE and ECBP 134.2 both just stun me every time I pour them.I love the contrast as the SmB LE is so subtley nuanced and complex and the ECBP is just a straight forward deep and rich brawler yet also very integrated to say the least.

Nursing doses of KC and AA* over the past two evenings (while on the Christmas party circuit). After Friday nights drinkfest, I have felt the need to tread ever so lightly...

Well I'm going to have to try this since OG114 and RITTBIB are always in the house.

Same here, sounds good to me.

Pretty good description Ryan.
