fishnbowljoe
Weird day at work. The same, if not more so, and really, really different for my wife too. My wife had told me that she had an important meeting scheduled at her work today. The speculation was that the owner of her company was retiring, and passing the reigns on. As it turns out, he sold the company instead. I stopped in to see her after work. It's all good for now. When I finally did get home, I settled in with a very healthy pour of ER 101 just because…….When my wife got home, she almost joined me.
horn1602
Opened a 4RSmB to start washing away a work day filled with incompetence that caused me a headache. Will likely progress with some combination of SAOS 7, Weller 12, and RittBIB.It's a coping mechanism.

smokinjoe
Happy for you Joe....I love me some RB! I'm currently working on two fingers of Stagg Jr (with a cube). Good on you too Paddy, with the Stagg Jr. Another nice whiskey...Addressing more utilitarian considerations, I love the taper of the bottle neck end of the WTRR bottle, and how nice and clean of a pour it produces. No runs, no drips, no errors. Baby Saz bottle is the same. Keeps me in the Good Graces of Mrssmokinjoe when I don't further deface her dining room furniture with whiskey rings... bingstein
WT12 gold foil (last pour) and a sample of Reid and Emerald's 6 year WFE. Tastes like a spoonful of peanut butter... in a good way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

tylermke
Having a pour of Binny's FR OBSV. One of the better FR picks I've had a chance to try. Really opens up with a few drops of water...

T Comp
Hell you know I had to buy one myself! How is the Binny's Dickel 9 yr. though? The Dickel was not a Binny's but is awfully good in that funky Dickel way. Of the three 9 years I've tasted, not noticed any difference between the barrels.

Yeti
Josh, I'm sure you have answered this but thoughts on the 134.2 v 137? I found the 1st to be a stellar pop and pour but the 2nd needed a bit of water to get it in line w the 1st.Well, that was surprising. I've had them both open since August, and I've drained them pretty equally to the bottom 5th. I always preferred the first, but didn't put much focus into it. The truth is that the first is much better overall, much better. The nose is open from the start, and while the flavors between the two are extremely similar, the first is smooth, buttery, and creamy and the finish blooms out into the redhot candy spice. The second is very sharp and bitter in comparison. Now, I still really enjoy the second, this is all just critical comparison, but the first was a special bourbon for the price in 2013. I've heard batch three is just as good, but I've never seen one.
