horn1602
Whose barrel pick is it?Argonaut. Not sure if they have any more of the BT, but they should still have an ER barrel select that is quite nice. They also had a Ridgemont barrel select that I'm not sure if they have any more of either (have a bottle at home, but haven't cracked it open yet). If I understood correctly they have barrel selects coming soon for Henry McKenna BIB, EWSB (not sure if '03 or '04). There was another that I'm drawing a blank on as well. Paddy
I've been going through W 12 and OWA like water (with the blend and all). Thank goodness football season is over!

Renegator
Just polished off an Elijah Craig 12 and Eagle Rare 10 that were store picks. Both were quite good. Great value bourbons...
bingstein
I tend to agree with Squire. Just about a year ago you could go to one of several stores around town and find some "desirable" bottles. Now, those same stores are barren. It is a sad state of affairs in Lexington, too. Just a year ago I would go into stores and would really have to think long and hard about what to buy. Nowadays there is nothing on the shelf I want, they typically are so picked over they look like the bread isle before a snowstorm in the south, and where they aren't picked over the spaces where the good stuff used to be is all replaced by the million different iterations of moonshine. squire
Let's give 'em their due bing, at least it's expensive moonshine.
MyOldKyDram
Don't know what you're talking about, Bing. Why just this wknd I walked into LBarn and there was a ton of Widow Jane in the case. Nothing good around? Pfft, hardly.
Old Dusty
Sean, you should re-post that pic of a cat trying to squeeze in the door. That's what I feel like now that all hell has broken loose with availability and pricing. I just squeezed in a decent stash as the door is slamming shut. And it looks like we will all have to rely on bunkered provisions until this blows over.

There was another that I'm drawing a blank on as well.I've never had a private selection from Argonaut. May need to stop by and see what they've got next time I'm in town. I have had some Davidson's selections that I enjoyed, and I have a bottle of BT selected by Fisher's Liquor Barn in Junction that I quite like. camduncan
Enjoyed the final pour from my 2004 purchased UK release ORVW 10/90 (same bottle as the Pappy bottles). The bottle and label have weathered well, so I might fill it up with Makers and put it back on the shelf. Could come in handy for the bourbon and coke drinking family/friends who visit
Tucker
PHC 7, Weller 12, and HW Double Rye! in the recycling bin. Might have something to do with being iced in for a few days. Really loved the nose on the PHC 7.

mbroo5880i
Continue to work on emptying open bottles. Emptied an ECBP, Batch #2 bottle tonight. Compared to other ECBP batches, this one has been the least liked by most. However, having not had the other batches, I have no frame of reference. I enjoyed the bottle. I prefer to dilute it to the 110 to 115 proof range.

I prefer to dilute it to the 110 to 115 proof range. The #2 was the only one Ive ever seen or bought, and I did NOT like it, and gave it away. seeing that most people say #2 was the relatively inferior batch so far, I'd give another batch a shot. If I dont like it next time, Ill just use it to give some HH6BIB a kick up to about 110 proof. but, Im not going to actively chase it down like last time...
