Tonight I went with a Lagunitas Cappuccino Stout. Not my favorite, but pretty damn good for $4. Hoping for a Mavs win

A couple of Rochester Mills Milkshake Stout.

It's good, hits the spot today.

Epic/Crooked Stave collab Elder Brett, a saison-Brett golden ale aged in wine barrels. Tasty! Bet it would even be better w a year a funk time on it.

Last hopslam of the year. Still very good but malt comes thru quickly. Approx 117 days old. Stored at room temp in my office absent of direct uv.

That gueuze is looking mighty tasty!

Anyone in or near Lex going to the release this Friday of Country Western Vol II? It's the kickoff to Lexington Craft Beer Week, and the second collaboration between Country Boy and W6th. This time it's a brown ale made with KY sorghum and then aged in bourbon barrels. It will be on draft and in cans. Now all of that is cool, and I'm sure it will be a fantastic beer, but the really nifty thing about it is the fact that KySalesReps dad makes the sorghum. That's pretty swell and makes me doubly excited to try this! Hope to see some of y'all there.

Sean, where is this popping off? I'll come down for a KySalesReps' dad/W6/Country Boy collabo beer.

I know it's going on at W6th, and maybe CB too.

Cheers to Dan's dad for being part of something cool like that!

I'm just sitting here tipping back a Double Crooked Tree along side a plate of potato chips & a BLT. I'm not sure if I'm just in an IPA fad or if IPAs generally go better with food over other beers. :)

Yeah yeah yeah. They'll have a limit I'm sure. Part of the reason I put it here. Hopefully can get enough people together and get more than our fair share. Think Bing and maybe even Mrs Bing are going. Kristin and I. Dan? Prob be able to get two six packs apiece. :/

Mrs. Bingstein and I are going to try to make it, but she is running a 5k in the morning and may opt not to come. By the way, Sean, that geuze I tried last night didn't do it for me. It wasn't the beer, it was me. I think I like fruity sours more than whatever that was.

Gotcha. Well, that was just the blended lambic. Shenanigans also has the kriek version of the Mariage Parfait, which is basically the same beer aged on a ton of cherries. Could be more to your liking. Beer Trappe has a bunch of similar stuff too. I'll keep an eye out for ya.

Tell Mrs. Bingstein that beer is even awesomer after endurance sports. It's true. Plus there are people in Utah who want you guys to get more than your fair share of cans.

Liquor store near my house is blowing out January bottles of Founders Red's Rye for $20 a case (24x12oz), so I've been drinking a lot of that. It's always been one of my favorites, and at 3-4 months old it's not quite stale yet.

New Glarus Belgian Red. I want it all. Probably the best American fruit beer I've ever had. So different than say a Belgian kriek. There's apparently a lb of cherries for every bottle and it shows. Pure cherry sweetness, with vanilla, and a tart, spicy, buttery finish. It's apple pie in a glass. Thanks to Tyler for bringing me this utterly fantastic beer!

U going to CB or W6th? I'm not sure I can make, but I was thinking I'd try to get over and give you 1/2 my limit since your probably somebody's mule.

It is delicious! The Belgian Red is probably my favorite of the 4 that I've had. A great way to ring in the warm weather, at least in WI. :)

Three Floyds Gumballhead wheat ale. Very quenching on a warm, humid night.

Probably W6th, but turns out they aren't releasing the cans until next Thursday. Just putting it out on draft tonight. Thanks for the offer though!
