I'm finding myself pouring the WT Diamond Anniversary more and more often...... Good stuff. Probably should have put this on the what bourbon are you drinking page, but I bought another one today.

Grabbed a Larceny and a WTRB to spend 4 days at the in-laws with.

are they that bad?

Im gonna take a HH6BIB to the inlaws and leave it there. No one else there drinks bourbon, and I'll be covered for future visits for a long time. But, my in-laws are very nice folks who dont make me want to drink....unlike the first in-laws.

Lol. Not that bad. The Rare Breed will be shared by at least 6 people on turkey day so it will go quickly.

I picked up a couple of OBSF FR store selections @$60ea yesterday. I know it's not a favorite pick for a lot of people but I've never tried it and with the news to expect a $70 price tag in the near future I just bit the bullet.

Of the 4R GS bottles I have the "F" recipes are among my favorites the top being the OESF, OBSF I would put at a tie for 2nd with OBSO

Since we only have access to the younger HH BIBs around here, went with the next best thing and picked up a couple more Old Ezra 7/101. As they say, just a good sippin whiskey. Also picked up a MMCS.

Agree that it would be nice to see some HH6BiB around here. Just recently started seeing the Evan Williams White on the shelves. Need to give this a try real soon.

post-10688-14489821726259_thumb.jpg picked up these while bored at lunch. Big store next to me only got 6 ehtbp and 12 elmers. Pretty much their entire allocation for the year and this place is the biggest stores in the LA area.

Know the feeling both of my two stores only got 2 bottles each of the CETHBP & 6 ETL's. Got my share but it would be nice not to have to be greedy when it's available,

Working on my second bottle of the ETL and tonight may open the CETHBP

I was really looking for older rare breed because I'm almost out but they just had the current 111.2 rare breed with the new label.

Just picked up a Binny's Willett private bottling for the long weekend. Aged 9 years and 123.2 proof. I rarely pick up private bottlings (perhaps a character flaw) so I'm very excited to try this.

Yesterday I was contemplating a PHC 7 at a local liquor store priced at a California-reasonable $120.

But then I realized that for $30 less I could have both a Henry McKenna and a 4R PS OBSO barrel strength. That made it kind of a no-brainer. BevMo really hooks me with those $10 off $100 coupons and they did it again this time.

Well, to be honest the PHC 7 is still on my mind.

But, I am also contemplating the other thread where people are talking about how many unopened bottles they have in the bunker already and where this all ends. I am afraid to even count.

Just get the phc, it's 100 bucks but a couple of years down the line, you may regret not picking it up and will never will be able to again. It's good stuff, just didn't have the hype factor to sell out. Hey, 5 years ago pappy was sitting on shelves when scotch was the hot commodity.

You, sir, are a bad influence. You are also probably factually correct, which makes you the worst kind of bad influence.

I mean unless your really strapped for cash or plan on being unemployed or something, the 100 bucks will be forgotten soon, but having that bottle in the bunker to be enjoyed one day is something special. I see people that have like 5 of each phc and that's excessive in my opinion but a 50ish bottle bunker of top notch bourbons is something every man should have! :D

I made that mistake last weekend. 16 open on the bar, 12 in the garage stash and yikes 65 in the basement bunker. I think I need to slow down.
