Picked up the best bargain in bourbon today, Elijah Craig 12 year old for 25.

While others are riding the bourbon boom Heaven Hill has kept the price of this fine bourbon REASONABLE.......

Grabbed 4 more Eagle Rare 10 to take home with me last night. Had my buddy check our local and it is actually $13 less here in MI than at home. For 29.99 vs 42.99 I can make this an almost everyday pour. Never saw it as really worth it at the price at home but 10 years old and 90 proof for $30 seems like a great deal to me.

A couple of small stores have been holding things back until after Thanksgiving. I'm very glad to have a backup of this one.

Went into my local ABC store this afternoon and was shocked to see a George T Stagg sitting on the self behind the counter nestled amongst a display of 50ml bottles. Thought maybe it was placed there to hold for another customer. When I found out it was available I quickly claimed it at list price. GTS was being bottled when I toured the distillery this summer and never imagined I would see one on the self.

I got a call from the owner of my favorite watering hole (they also sell package liquor) wanting to know if I wanted a bottle of OFBB that had just come in. I told him that I certainly did. After work, I drove over to pick it up. He brought out the bottle and casually pointed at a bottle of ORVW 10/107 and said that was his entire allotment of VW. It was overpriced, but not outrageously so. I asked him if it was spoken for. When he said no, I bought it too. I know that I overpaid for it, but went ahead and pulled the trigger since I have never previously been able to buy a bottle of any Van Winkle product at retail.

Mrs Tot picked up a Lot B for us. Sounds like an awesome purchase, but it was sold to us as consolation because the retailer accidentally sold the 4RSmBLE he was holding for us. Ya win some, ya lose some.

The retailers I've frequented this last year can't seem to get their products straight. This guy said he had a "Pappy 10", so I was thinking "Great, an Old Rip". She gets there and it's a Lot B.

I'm not huge on the 90 proof wheaters, but I'll give this one a go in the name of learning its taste profile.

After driving all over Monterey, I finally snagged a PHC8 at a reasonable price. Now, I just hope it makes it home safely!

I picked up a few bottles of Willett Family Estate 9 year old bourbonat $110. On the high side but I have to order online as we get ZERO of this locally so can't complain to much.

I put my name in for WLW, Saz18, and GTS. Acquired the right to buy* a bottle of BTAC WLW through lottery conducted by LCBO.

Note I did not say "won a bottle" since $130 for a bottle of bourbon isn't exactly winning.

Bottles available for the entire province of Ontario:

13 THH

22 ER17

28 WLW

28 Saz 18

40 GTS

That's a much better allocation than the entire State of Washington got.
