I mean unless your really strapped for cash or plan on being unemployed or something, the 100 bucks will be forgotten soon, but having that bottle in the bunker to be enjoyed one day is something special. I see people that have like 5 of each phc and that's excessive in my opinion but a 50ish bottle bunker of top notch bourbons is something every man should have! :D

My problem is I've been seriously chasing bourbon for a little over a year and I've already passed the fifty mark.

Picked up a couple bottles of ETL. One was supposed to be a gift for the couple having us over for Thanksgiving tomorrow but they just cancelled so poor me has one extra sitting on the shelf now.

I made that mistake last weekend. 16 open on the bar, 12 in the garage stash and yikes 65 in the basement bunker. I think I need to slow down.

thats about where I stand, but mine is made up of only a half dozen different bottlings.

First off Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.. I have been quite busy the past few weeks.. This month.. I was able to buy 3 George T Stagg, 2 Thomas H Handy and a bottle of 18 Yr Sazerac.. A Stagg Jr. 3rd release which is not hard to find. I actually like the this third release lot more than the first release. A bottle of High West Mid Winter Nights Dram.. I really liked their Rendezvous Rye.. And to top things off. 4 Bottles of 2014 Four Roses Small Batch Limited Edition.. I have to regroup now..With Christmas coming.. I have to slow down a little.. But if more of the BTAC collection presents itself or any of the Pappy's at a reasonable price.. I will jump on them.. Hope everyone is doing ok. Creggor

i long for the day my military-nurse friend goes back there. he said he'd grab me a few.

the 13 year was $15, or the 8 year was? either way....nice!

13 year was about 35, 8 yr was 15. Trying to find the 12 year 101 proof. Only disappointment is that the 13 is 91 proof.

dang! the NAS 101 here is $19, on sale, and usually $25 anywhere else. were these typical prices over there?

Id love to visit there anyway, but when that day comes, Im buying an extra suitcase for the return trip

Snabbed another 4R SmB LE, nice to have an extra so I don't have to be stingy with my pours of the one that's already open.

Visiting the in-laws out of state. I hit the liquor stores while the ladies did their shopping. Grabbed 2 ETL's (haven't seen any at home in ages). Also grabbed an ER10 at $10 less than it lists at home. Last bottle was a Big House. I know it's a LDI product, but 6 year age stated and 90 proof with a company that's honest about where it came from for $21? ...I'll give that a shot for sure.

While the company may get some bad rap from the crowd, I don't hold that against the juice inside.

Quick trip after the circus to the South Loop Mecca, and Barterhouse x2 in the truck.

BTW, a super crew F150 is not the easier thing to park there.

then grab a HH green label 6 year 90 proofer for $9. no middle man to jack up the price.

ETL marked H42, and Willett 9 year barrel #7181. Ran out of cash, regrets on what I had to pass up. (central Houston)

Makes visiting the folks more bearable when I can buy something nice.
