meadeweber
I picked up a few treats at one of my favorite liquor stores. That's quite a trifecta. That will be some good drinking.I guess there has been a recent W12 allocation. I have been seeing some posts of people picking it up.

An extra aged KCSB is high on my list of bottles to acquire but I've yet to come across one. Very interested in hearing your thoughts on this compared to a standard issue. kyrocklover
Could not resist a 11.5 year old store pick KCSB (at just under $40).I picked one of those up as well for the exact same reason. I want to compare it to a previous store select KCSB that I have. Also found the latest ECBP at another store.

I did run across a restaurant selection recently that was very good and you could buy a 750 ml bottle for $33. The price was right and I liked it so I might have to go back and get one. Even the bar pour was reasonably priced, $7.50 for a generous 2+ oz pour.

I am kicking myself still for not clearing their shelves of it when I was down there and the store had SB for $22 and SmB for $21.
BigBoldBully
I bought a case of KCSB recently (to get a discount), but I would jump at the chance to get some extra aged. So far, the stuff in my case (one of 4 bottles with the same numbering, unfortunately) seems like it could use some additional time. Wish someone would start a periodically updated list of known store picks by state.

flahute
While traveling to see my parents I received another phone call from a store owner that they had a Birthday Bourbon for me so I sent my wife again to pick it up. She's making it very clear that she has earned wife points and that I owe her. <message received>

dSculptor
While up in Green Bay yesterday with my wife doing the Lambeau Field tour thing, I had to stop at one of the local Ls to see what they had, picked me up the Old Bardstown black label 90 proof, I don't recall seeing this one around for a long time , promptly popped it open when I got home, and it's not bad for the price - $20. Did a little research and found somewhere it said it's a 10 yr. old, can anyone confirm?

squire
Old Bardstown is a KBD label and years ago when aged Bourbon was still on the market the label was age stated at 10 years and I seem to recall a 12 as well. Now it's NAS, so, 4 years and a day at least.
Jazz Nut
Today I was very fortunate with my finds at a few stores. No more bourbon or even whisky purchases for quite awhile...but I feel very fortunate to find some cool bottles today. 6 W.L. Weller 12 year (giving a few bottles to a bourbon loving co-worker, will be his first time drinking W12) 1 Old Weller Antique 1 Parker's Heritage Malt Whiskey 1 Wild Turkey Master's Keep (already seemed to be marked down at $129) 1 Kilkerran Barrel Proof Bourbon barrel aged

Jazz Nut
and that is why there is no W12 to be had, we are our own worst enemies I thought the same thing before purchasing, and actually thought about not posting about what I bought. After making a lot of calls last week and this week, and driving around the metro area tonight, I was able to find these. Weller 12 is tough to find, I really like it, and don't know when I'll be able to find it again---so I am bunkering 4 and giving 2 away. I feel lucky, and spoiled.
