Appreciate the input, N! I have yet to try a Weller, but look forward to when I do.

Galvin,

If I were you, I'd try to find the 12 year... Much better than the other Weller products in my opinion.

Happy bourboning!

Cheers!

I don't care for any of the Maker's products I have tried (regular, cask strength and Maker's 46).  Just doesn't agree with my palate.  As far as wheaters go, Weller products are much better in my opinion.

You're not alone. I have yet to enjoy a Maker's bottle. Just not our thing.

Do you like any of the other HH distill EW or EC? If so I'd consider giving it another shot. There seems to be a lot of barrel variation. I've had some I really don't care for and some I've absolutely loved.

I've found EC 12yr or store picks a safer bet but the best has been HM 10yr.

I don't think I ever finished a bottle this fast. Very good.

I need to get a pick of this. I also need to head out your way for some local store picks at some point.

I have an EW single barrel that is good(not great).  I have enjoyed a bottle of EC nas recently.  I have never had the opportunity to try the ECBP yet.  Also have not had any of the other HH products.

Finished off an OE7/107 tonight. I wouldn't have finished it if I hadn't spilled the first glass I poured. Glad it was some thing chea....er...inexpensive.

That come from up by the NC border?  I've had and have a few bottles from store selects up here that I've found to be quite nice

This one is from the Total Wine here in Columbia. I did get a WTKS from the froogal macdoogals off 77 by the sc/nc boarder that opened last night. Got this hint of peppermint on the finish. It is barrel that was bottled 4/20/17 if you are by that way.

If your back up this way try Stateline or Stateline Elite they both have some picks of WTKS as well as others.  I saw that MacDoogals got a RRSB they were pretty stoked about yesterday but I was in a hurry and didn't stop by.  I'll be back down that way next week though...

I love this stuff! I have 1 on the shelf and 1 in the bunker at all times!

If you've never tried it, at $25.... What the heck are you waiting for?!?

Cheers!

I finished off last night with the last (healthy) pour of KCSmB, after sampling just about everything I have in my bar with my cousin - trying to get her to appreciate whisk(e)y's.

She's actually able to pick out some tasting notes on some of my whiskeys that I never tasted before she pointed them out. I was pretty impressed!

Isn't teaching others about whiskey so fun?

Cheers!

Love this stuff. Even more impressive is that it is a store pick.

Two 12yr olds bite the dust. The SP KC was a special barrel.

That KCSB store pick certainly was a honey barrel!
