But my bunker is "small but sincere" compared to a basement I know in the outskirts of Atlanta. Now THAT'S a world class bunker! MM818
I have some questions on this bottle but I purchased anyway. Probably take it with me on my next road trip or might end up in my cart bag.
PJMac
Little Cross Post Action. Just Picked this one up and already cracked it. Looks to be a 9 year age statement, single barrel - local store pick.
Jazzhead
I found a cool dusty yesterday - a Belle Meade Cask Strength Reserve, one of the old ultra small batches, and just a touch over 112 proof. MGP bliss!!

Just wish they sold it in 750s, I’d pay the up charge …potentially .

PaulO
Out touring Greenwood yesterday, you never know what's out there. Passed on many things, but brought home a couple favorites - JTS Brown, and VOB 100.

On my trips to KY, I see a large St. Francis hospital/medical campus south of Indy, right next to I-65. I’m assuming this is where it moved or consolidated to. You know that Steve McQueen was born in Beech Grove? Biba! Joe
Quiganomics
I've been on the hunt for the last few days coming up empty. You would think with WI's reputation when it comes to drinking the distilleries would be flooding us in juice. Not to mention in the last year, I haven't seen a single bottle of: EH Taylor Elmer T Lee Weller Blantons Blue Run Kentucky Owl Stagg Jr George T Stagg Eagle Rare Old Fitz I know these aren't the easiest to find regardless but I've put thousands of miles driving around the state looking.....the struggle is real. If it makes you feel any better I would say over the same period of time I saw Blue Run and Kentucky Owl only but the pricing was prohibitive. The rest? nada. Things are about the same here in northern Illinois. About the only thing on your list I see occasionally at a fair price is ER. Many stores in my area have changed a lot the last couple of years. They’ve raised their prices more than normal, and a few are selling items at secondary (tater) pricing. One store has Weller SR for $89.99 and Blanton’s for $189.99. A number of other stores are just as bad if not worse. BT can be found at a few places at a decent price, but it sells out quickly. Not sure if the same rumor is circulating in Wisconsin, but I’ve heard more than once that people are being told that BT is just Blanton’s in a domestic bottle. Folks here have also taken to hanging out waiting for stores to open so they can have a shot at getting some of the better bottles as soon as they’re put on the shelf. An employee at one store even hinted to me that if I wanted a better chance at buying stuff, I might want to join the morning crowd on drop days. Ain’t doing that. I don’t have the largest bunker here, but I have enough to hold me for quite a while as long as I can find a favorite bottle once in a while. However, I did just recently retire………. Biba! Joe Same thing to the east a ways; BT was available most of last year if you knew where to look, but dried up the last few months; glad I have a few in the cupboard. The only time I see ER or WSR at less than absurd pricing is at a place that will occasionally sell you a bottle at $30 (WSR) or $40 (ER), but you have to buy $100 of their store picks. I like ER, but I not at that price or those conditions. The rest of those BT products are just rumors around here. I'm glad I like Beam and Maker's products more, it makes life a lot easier. We should try to convince the taters that Benchmark is just 80 proof Blanton's...

The breweries are flooding you with plenty of barley, hops, corn, and yeast products Sort of like a 3-grain bourbon only watered down. I jest. I do see a fair amount of Kentucky Owl around but not the limited stuff. Other than that, I haven't seen any of the other bottles sitting on a shelf in my area in years. This not unique to Wisconsin - this is pretty much the case everywhere. I get EH Taylor and Stagg Jr only because my local sets bottles aside for me. ER10 will be available here and there a bottle at a time. Forget about everything else.
