Keeping with the roundup of the herd tonight. I finished off one ps BT (Schnuck’s) with a very healthy pour. I opened another ps BT (Binny’s) to take it’s place, and had another very healthy pour. I ain’t gonna split hairs here. Both are good.

Tonight is a celebration of sorts. Long story extremely short, our daughter in law just finished her latest round of schooling this past week. She now has her Master’s Degree in nursing. She loves what she does, and she’s truly an angel. 😇

Biba! Joe

Congratulations to her. 🥃

I have only tried the standard 93 proof version.  I bought it at the local Meijer for $24,99.  Prior to this, the normal price locally seemed to be between $40 and $50.  I have now noticed it is generally less than $35 at most stores.  The same Meijer has a store pick at barrel strength for $50.  I doubt I will pick one up. The local Meijer tends to have a decent number of "store picks."  They usually say "Indiana Pick" or something like that.  I have always suspected they don't pick the barrel.

Since barrel strength usually has more taste, I suspect that it would be better.  However, I still don't know if I would spend $50 on it.

Not much recently as the weather has been on the mild side but I did have to indulge in some 4 Roses single barrel. There is always a bottle of this open in this house.

A quiet Monday evening, t wife is out at choral rehearsal.  I’m just sitting in and sipping on some GTS after some Nashville Hot Chicken  and fries from a local food truck.

Congrats to your daughter in law, that's a major achievement in an area that is both necessary & growing.

A real shortage of angel's out there. Glad to hear the good family news, AND that you have your own personal angel close and on Joe call! Kinda like house call on better. :)

Saz Rye.   Just so good.   There's nothing quite like a Kentucky-style rye with the corn adding sweetness to the spice.

Of course, just about everything tastes good these days - GO PHILLIES!   We're playing with house money against the best team in baseball.

1792 full proof tonight. Second pour from this bottle. I have to find out if I need to get another one of these before they're all gone. I am enjoying this with about a half ounce of water. It was a little intense for me in its neat form.

Heading out with wife to celebrate our 37th anniversary.  A PVW15 pour to start the evening seems appropriate.

Happy belated anniversary!

Sipping on a glass of OE7.  I was organizing the upstairs bunker today and found a W12 box with 12 OE7 in it.  Not a bad day.

The wife is having book club at the house so doing some spot cleaning before the event and preparing to head to the basement about 6 with the pets before her guests arrive.

Delta at O’Hare has moved from Terminal 2 to Terminal 5 as of 2 weeks ago. Brand spankin’ new Sky Club opened along with it.  Wow!  Way bigger and more appointed than the one in 2.  Feels like a very high end club/restaurant.  Keeping it real though, with a standard and very good Old Forester 86 on the rocks to start the lounging and decompression from a hyperkinetic couple of days.  I’ll climb the ladder next round…😁

Opened and poured some Bulleit.  Haven't had thus for a very long time but it was on sale, so I figure I should give it another go.  I'm finging it sweet but alot of black pepper on the back end.  Not bad but also not my favorite profile.  It works for a change.

The Sky Clubs I've been to recently have all switched over to 4RYL. Glad to see some still have OF86!

I’m having a mixed bag of small pours tonight. I’m lamenting the possible loss (fire) of one of the better Italian restaurants here. The Capri. 😢 Great lasagna. Damn!  😣

Started the weekend last night, Thursday with some RR 10.  Full slate of fishing in store this weekend again.

Last week was fantastic fishing caught another 6 lb Bass and a couple of 5 lbers too. That is two 6's this season, they are pretty rare in the state of Michigan.

Not a Bourbon pic but thought some of you would be interested.

I just opened the first FRSmB in a long time.  It's a nice pour.  I thought the label used to have the four recipes listed on the back.  It appears not to anymore.
