Sadly, a few bottles will probably soon pour their last. 😢  The worst loss will be my 2021 Weller Blend. 🥹

You can sing to your last pour of 2021 Weller Blend as you pour it in the glass.  For there will be the glorious moment that you enjoy it knowing what you would have missed if you would have missed the dance.

To quote Cousin Garth,

Holding you
I held everything
For a moment
Wasn't I a king...

I could have missed the pain
But I'd have had to miss
The dance...

Enjoy that last pour like you did the first knowing that the experience was worth it!

Dude in Georgia I believe he was Robco on IG made that.  EC 23 is one of my very favorites.   Sadly only one left in the bunker. I miss seeing that stuff around!

Heading out with wife to celebrate our 37th anniversary.  A PVW15 pour to start the evening seems appropriate.

Happy Anniversary!  That's a good run, roughly 13,505 days of not waking up dead via spousicide!

More Bookers Lumberyard Batch for the afternoon tipple.

Right at 4 p.m. as promised!  I saw one on the shelf a few weeks ago and passed.  I wish I would have grabbed it.

Happy anniversary!  37 years is quite the accomplishment!  My wife and I celebrated our 35th anniversary last month. A lot has happened over those years but every moment was worth it.

I will celebrate and salute your anniversary with a pour of Wild Turkey 101.  It is not PVW15 but it is a fine whiskey on a cold night in Indiana and I want to celebrate your accomplishment.

You say heading out so I hope you are going out to enjoy a great dinner and evening!  Congratulations!

I can't help but wonder how you enjoyed Robert Kraft's wedding.  You were invited, right? 😀

On a side note, I hear Billy B.  didn't attend.  What's up with that?

So I walked into my local Mega-Bev last week and they had  a barrel pick of Yellowstone on sale for $79.95.  Since I did not know a lot about this bourbon, I went to several sites I use for whiskey reviews.  The consensus from all of them was that it was good bourbon but not exceptional.  This was based upon an MRSP of $39.95.  The summary was "In an Ocean of $25-50 bourbons, Yellowstone fails to differentiate itself.  So I passed on the Mega-Bev selection but found  it on the shelf of my local grocery store at MRSP ($39.95).  So I decided to take a chance on bottle at that price point.

After trying it, I have to agree with the other reviews.  It is squarely in the middle of the bourbon category.  A bit thin on the finish for me.  My wife liked it and thought that it was an easy drinker.  I think this would make a good entry bourbon and would use it as  Basil Hayden's substitute albeit at a higher proof point (93).  So if you can find it at MRSP and you have non-bourbon drinking friends that you want to introduce to the category, then this would be  a reasonable choice.

The single barrel barrel proof bottles (black label) can be outstanding, the couple I have hold their own with anything else in my bunker.

A bit of a late post but I celebrated riding a metric century this weekend with a nice pour from my JD 50/50 bourbon/rye Tennessee taster.

BTW @PaulO, I posted a pic of the Bean Blossom Bridge on another site. Figured I’d post it here too. 😎

It’s an Old Forester night tonight. I started with a couple of pours of my OF 86 freezer bottle. Then it was on to a ps OF 90 proof SB. 😚

Well, was at the MD reviewing results of thorough bloodwork, etc.  All good.  Worked to get it there.

He said keep doing what you are doing.

So while tardy, the 4 pm pour is Larceny B521.

New Riff rye while enjoying a fire on this chilly ATL evening, I love this stuff, both NR and the fireplace.
