RR13 is just so, so good. Been having some every night since I bought it so I took it downstairs to "the cabinet" for safekeeping as it's been going too fast!

Couldn’t agree more. Got my only bottle last August(2021) and drank half the bottle in the first week and had to put it in the back of my cabinet so I wouldn’t finish it. Saving for special occasions. I don’t expect to see another bottle at a reasonable price unless I get very lucky and I consider myself lucky to have been able to purchase the bottle I have now at SRP before Fred M.’s review put it on the taters radar.

Sipping my first Eagle Rare of the evening.   Firing up the tube amps soon and spinning some rekkids later....

Yep, trick or treating is done.  I turned off the outside lights.  The candles will burn all night in the jack o lanterns looking out the kitchen window. 🎃

I'll match JC's pour with some JW Dant.

Happy Halloween, bourbon friends.

Best thing you’ve recommended to me!

I need my coworkers in KY to take some PTO again soon so I can replenish.

Packed up the Halloween decor today.  Now just relaxing with a Weller blend/Poor Man’s Pappy after dinner.

Handen single barrel with a chunk of freshly cut clear ice. I used the small cooler method to make the ice.  Really simple, and it does look pretty (sorry, no pictures). I usually like my bourbon neat, but when it gets above 120 proof, a large cube is welcome to bathe.

Tonight I'll be watching the Phillies,  playing with house money and seemingly determined to pull off a heist.

I'm trying side by side FEW straight bourbon (93 proof, 4 years)  with the new FEW Bonded.  I can see where the bonded commands a price premium - the dark fruits are amped up -  but the regular straight is getting so good I think I prefer it.

Things have been crazy so I decided on a mid-week drinking night.

Started with a bottle emptying pour of Blanton's.  I have had some stellar bottles over the years but this one was meh.  I believe it came from Meijer.  It was my last Blanton's bottle.  The last few bottles of Blanton's before it were meh as well.  I probably won't pick up another bottle without trying first.  Oh, who am I kidding?

Followed up with a pour of Backbone Wheat Whiskey.  This pour kicked Blanton's a..

I will follow up with one smaller pour of KC120 store pick.  Then, get ready for the rest of the work week.

I know I've never bought this, and I'm pretty sure I've never had it. I was ready the 01/22 BOTM about OF100 (of which I'm a big fan), and it piqued my interest for this one. My local shop doesn't have 750ml of it, so I snagged the big boy. I'm sure glad I did. There's a lot going on in this unassuming little 86 proofer.

Meeting tonight of our bourbon cigar group. A couple of guys even showed up for the first time in a while. We enjoyed pours of BH and MM from the bar.  A few guys brought other goodies. 😁 Henry McKenn 80 proof, OWA, and the surprise highlight of the evening, WR Cask Strength.  Fun time.

JD Single Barrel Select tonight. Second weeknight in a row with whiskey in the glass. You guys are a bad influence. And by bad, I mean good.

Oh my.   Yesterday the Phils tied a World Series record for most home runs, and tonight they tied the record for fewest hits.

I guess pouring a bourbon named "Few" was a mistake.

A combined no-hitter in game 4 and a defensive & pitching gem tonight in game 5.  Took 2 out of 3 on the road.

The King of bourbons seems like an appropriate celebratory pour.

Mrs. Jazz and I were at the ballyard last night with 46,000 others,  and we rooted our improbable Champions to the end.   Here's hoping a celebratory pour of Stagg is a bit premature for a game 5 victory.   This is best of seven, and the Phightins are still standing,  with their best starter on the bump.

Keep the faith, baby!

Very cool pic!  You're a good fan.  I was able to get to Minute Maid Park to attend ALCS game #2 against the Yankees and nothing beats a post season baseball game.

My GTS pour was only to celebrate games 4 and 5 wins, not the series.  Trust me, with our 4th world series appearance lately, I've learned to never get ahead of yourself, and my approach is to celebrate each and every single game win with a special celebratory pour;  you never know when or if the next one will come.  Congrats on a great season so far -- the Phillies hitters are amazing at the plate.

Enjoy the remaining game(s)  ... [hopefully only one more, haha 😉]

Cool, and congrats.  If I may ask, what are you studying?  Besides the WT, I mean.
