Skinsfan1311
Inspired by the current BOTM thread. This is on the bottle cull hit-list. Man, it is hitting it out the park tonight. I'm glad I have a spare. Happy Friday Eve!

Jazzhead
I've been sipping the last week or two from my three bourbon soleras, and tweaking the last one to get it as close to "perfect" as the first two. The first two I'm drinking down as finished concoctions, one leaning to the Old Forester side of things (though I don't believe it contains a drop of the stuff), and the second having a coppery BT/4R thing going. The new one, in the Frey Ranch bottle, has proven an ornery cuss but I think I tamed it with some cask strength MGP 95/5 rye. This is exploding with flavor! I'm next going to blind it with a WTKS and see who's top cat. Edited November 12, 2022 by Jazzhead
smokinjoe
This Bulleit Barrel Strength over a crystal clear cube is exactly the right elixir after 2 days of driving, meetings, more meetings, and then more driving.

Dean E
To me late fall and early winter is the best time to break out the barrel proof bourbons. Ezra Brooks Barrel Proof, WT Rare Breed, Penelope, 1792 120 proof, and Old Forester 1920 are my choice for colder days. Definitely takes the edge off of the cold evenings! Jazzhead
I'm sipping a one-time blend of Nelson Brothers Reserve and Rebel 10 as I kill two bottles this Saturday evening. It's a four-grain where the soft wheat predominates. Diggin' it.

On a side note - I wonder how many of us have that same Buffalo Trace rocks glass. Mine is quite a clear. The buffalo has turned brown from the inside out from use.
mbroo5880i
Day three out from knee surgery. Drove today. Even did a little bourbon shopping. The opoids were good while they lasted but I cut them off on day two and now on day three have opted for bourbon to kill the pain of rehab. It seems to be working. WT101 in the glass while sitting on my ass. Knee in the air sitting in my ..... no not, my underwear, but I get what you were thinking.
