I think it has a little more edge to it than Mellow Corn, but they are similar.  I don’t believe it is produced, currently.  I used to pick it up regularly on my business trips to Alabama, but haven’t seen it for several years.  It had a very limited distribution back when, I reckon Southern State ABC stores, though I had only seen it in Alabama.  Yep, earlier bottles were adorned with the Confederate Flag.  Comparison pic below.

It is a beautiful sunny 62 degree day.  I decided to walk the yard and pick up all of the winter sticks.  I’ve got quite the pile(s) going so I will need to burn off pretty soon.  Oh well, a chance to roast some hot dogs and make s’mores.

Of the releases since the bottle change, this is far and away my favorite Baker’s. Truth be told, I’m not sure I even had an older wine bottle one I enjoyed more.  Picked it up today, and I’m going back tomorrow for more from this barrel.

I finished my bottle of Jefferson’s Tropics and replaced it a bottle of Chicken Cock.  Nice pour. I saw an article on it in Garden & Gun and decided to take a chance.
