Also, I was stoked about the Contradiction, I have yet to see or taste that one, but have heard good things.

Got an open bottle at home and another one as a backup; this is a rather unusual but great pour...

If that Samuels was the bond, then I think it was a dusty.

Yep, it was a BIB, did not know that these were on the endangered list.

A store near my work is having a moving sale, so I stopped in and picked up a 12yr OESO for $47.

I hope you bought 2......or 3. Great price.

There were two different barrels on the shelf . . . may have to go back for the other.

$32.95 plus tax.

I have enjoyed the 2004 so I grabbed the 2002 as I haven't tried or seen it around.

For my taste the 2002 is by far the best compared to the 03, 04, & 05. In fact since they were steadily going down hill I only purchased a single bottle of each and unless the 06 catches fire on here I doubt I'll get an 06.

Found 3 bottles of W12 on the shelf. I took 2, left one for the next guy. Owner said he only received 3. Timing is everything.

Picked up a Blantons ($46), RHF ($43), and a new-bottle 1792 ($22) on my way north through CA. Some other pretty good deals, too (compared to OR/WA).

The 1792 is gonna get cracked open as soon as I unpack the car after the news. Never tried it before...

lucky u, curious what you had to pay. seems all the wellers are going up (above state minimum) around here (and other places) at the few places that stock them.

Grabbed another bottle of OWA this evening. Not a need, or a reason unless it just being there is justifiable as a reason.

The shelf price was 23.99 each.

Hey, at least y'all are seeing them on the shelves. It's been two years since any W12 has been here and I haven't seen any OWA in more than six months.

Riding my Harley up near the Savannah River this morning, stopped by a couple of package stores. Only wound up picking up two 200 ml's of Austin Nichols 101 Wild Turkey.

Over the weekend a friend and I did a blind tasting, and Four Roses finished very well, way better than I expected against some much fancier whiskeys. So, I've decided to start investigating the individual whiskeys that go into it, and today I bought my first bottle of Four Roses Single Barrel, a Binny's-special cask strength OESF. I'll be cracking it open shortly. I am optimistic, but even if I don't like it, there are nine other variants. I picked this one over an OBSQ. Did I err?

Found a Sazerac Rye in Gurnee Illinois and a Crystal Head Vodka Rolling Stones 50th anniversary commerative set. The last isn't bourbon but it was $10 less than the usual price for just the vodka.

True but Rye seems to get some mention in this thread. I'd have bought more Weller but the place in Illinois was out. :skep:

As a card carrying member of the cult, there is no such thing as erring with a bottle of PS Four Roses.
