Walked into a Vero Beach, FL restaurant Saturday night, stumbled onto BTEC Wheated 12 yr, floor 5/$55. Was exquisite.

Piked up a Gifted Horse on a whim.  I know the Orphan Barrels don't always get a lot of love around here, but this is the least expensive and the highest proof of the bunch.  Thought it was quite delicious.  Technically not a bourbon, but classic bourbon taste, well balanced.  Would consider getting another.

I picked up a CR Northern Harvest Rye. A very pleasant pour overall it is sweet, smooth, and mild. My thoughts while sipping this was of a nice breakfast of pancakes with syrup and tea. While I don't regret the purchase it's not really for me. Too refined and as mentioned earlier very easy to drink. I like whiskey rougher around the edges with more meat on it bones. I don't think you can get much milder than this and yet still completely enjoy it. You want to cuss it but you just can't, especially for the price of $29.

Picked up or better yet had dropped off to me a bottle THH15 from another member that he's been holding for me since Christmas - gotta love the people on this forum.  He also dropped off samples of THH14 and 14 FRSMBLE

A few bottles of Elmer T Lee and some liters of Weller 12.  These are harder (bordering on impossible) to find these days.  And when I see them at good prices it's hard to resist.   I'd been picking up ETL for a friend and finally cracked a bottle myself.  I haven't had it in years and had forgotten how good it could be.  Maybe it was just a barrel that was especially to my liking but I went back and bought the rest of the bottles.

Was lucky enough to find 2 bottles of ECBP, and figured a bottle of EWSB 2006 should come home as well!

I haven't seen ECBP in these parts for a while.

Jim Beam Single Barrel is on sale for $13.99 at my local store - is this a decent Bourbon?  The price, of course, is GREAT.  But, I've never had Jim Beam so not sure what to expect.  I guess, if I hate it, I'll only be out $13.99 though lol.

I would definitely pick one up for that price. It is good. Just not worth $35 imo. It has a typical beam flavor. Lots of sweet honey, and a little complexity. If you like bh,you will like this I think.

I would buy a few at that price, and since you haven't tried Beam, the single barrel would be a good place to start.
