The new Wild Turkey 12/101 is available in Japan and for something like the equivalent of $50, a complete steal.

Per Wine-Searcher, average resale in US is $500.  Other sites say $225.  Tater sites probably drive that up some, but still.  A steal, beats buying it here!

May go for that, as I can get Blanton's Gold & SFTB via France at reasonable prices.

Not quite a bourbon, but was lucky enough to snag an Aussie release barrel pick bottle of Willett Rye.  It was aged 7 years, 9 months old bottled at 53.3%.   Yield was 219 bottles apparently.  Looking forward to cracking this one next month  and enjoying it over the festive season.

Sampling today on the BBC and the 2XO at a local today.  Both were good enough to merit one of each.  The Gatsby was from another store that I had asked for several months ago when it was announced.  I loved he Volstead and figured I would roll the dice an an extra year.  The W12 is self explanatory.

4R Single Barrel @ $39.99, plus tax, best local price I have seen in over a decade. The clerk rang it up at $44.99, but I made them check the shelf price, which was clearly marked. I don’t doubt they pulled that price as soon as I walked out the door.

That's about as good as I've seen.  Costco in KY & IN generally sell it at that price.  Good deal!

I helped a friend out this morning on setting his LS for Christmas.  I found these dusties in the back and had to bring them home.

That 10 year 116p Redemption batched MGP rye is fantastic and was less than $10/year around here.

I still laugh my ass off about the bottles of $250+  Willett 10 year batched MGP rye (115p) that was mysteriously released right about the same time... 🤔

Amazing how different glass and a label can influence things.

Probably not too bad of a price.

However only you can make that call.

Is it in your wheel house or not?

I'd buy 15 at that price.  It's a stroke of luck, congrats!

I’d pay the $300 for the 10 yr, before I’d pay $400 and $500 for the other two.  Not because it’s the least money, but it’s quality is closer to it’s price than the other two.  The 15 is the best whiskey to my palate, though.  That said, the last couple of 10 years I’ve had recently tasted way beyond my expectations for them.

All, appreciate the feedback. Decided to pass and add some staples to the bunker.  Col EHT, Dickel BiB, ECBP C922, Blantons Gold, WTRB

A local LS called me today and said my name had been picked in their lottery.  I drew the 2022 AE.  That was fine with me, my wife has given me one of these every year since 2016.  This saves her the trouble.  It will get wrapped and under the tree.
The sales rep was there for the 32873CA3-766B-4238-9698-EE0AD1B1193B.thumb.jpeg.f46bf965e456477f29404c69b87a1790.jpeg.  He recognized me from the other store last week.  It is a new line from Dixon Dedmon (Kentucky Owl). It is a NDP offering but very nice.  He is a very good blender!

Back to the neighboring state but a bit farther from home base.  Stopped at a much larger LS with a very large selection.  Picked up a OF 1920, KC 9, MM french oak,  and a ECBP C522.  The first three were marked way down.  The C522 was $80.  But the deal of the day was the KC 12  for $57 at a big grocery store.  I have never paid less than $60 ..  NO, I didn't buy them all.  I left 2 for the next person.

Santa is on a roll! But I suspect he has a little buyers remorse.

Buyer's remorse?  You mean Santa's elves didn't make this?

Llama's approve bourbon and bacon, especially since the latter is pork.

Big time scores, @CaptTim!  The reindeer looks a little glassy-eyed but happy too!
