markandrex
Revisiting the BBC Origin Rye tonight. Apparently my palate was the issue a few weeks ago. Hitting the correct notes tonight with a light cherry finish. Very appealing! Edited May 12, 2023 by markandrex
mbroo5880i
I ended the night with a Coco Wheats pour, Chattanooga Rye. Breakfast before bed is quite enjoyable.

I really, really like it and rarely see it around here, (Baltimore metro area), and I bought this bottle while on vacation in NOLA. It was my "hotel" whisky. I liked it so much that I duct-taped the cork to the bottle and stuck it in my suitcase and it flew home with us. If I see it again, I'll buy it. Mrs. Skinsfan is the Lucy fan and has been since she was a kid. So much so that she's made the pilgrimage to Lucy's hometown, Jamestown NY, 3 times! She has an entire room dedicated just to Lucy, which is also where we keep our whiskey, which is why so many of my pics have some type of Lucy stuff in the background.

Very good but the consensus of our group was that the bottles are about $50/bottle too expensive. That’s where I am. In the future I’ll go back to Pikesville. (But it’s been harder to find lately.) I'm a fan too, the comedy is timeless.
smokinjoe
I’ve discussed this with more than a few dudes…Lucy was a damn hottie. That kinda got lost in her dizzy comedic genius.

The square ones are the sibs. The blends were hard enough to get. But a couple of the sibs were runs in the 50s.

0895
Pikesville has been MIA around here for awhile. I was so happy to see it again today that I bought one. Also picked up the Peerless Double Oak Rye recently and it keeps getting better the more I drink of it. I’ll admit to being a big Peerless Rye fan, even though the pricing prevents it from being a regular purchase.

Kepler
Back home now. The 13 year is really great, but I do prefer the depth of the 16. Wish I'd picked up more of either of these back then.
