That's so old I don't even really know what it is.  2008?

Yup, 2008, the second of the barrel strength limited edition single barrels. 12 year OBSK, I'd imagine it is lights out. Sad to see it go, but good to know it was truly enjoyed.

Paraphrasing TS Eliot (about whom I wrote my undergrad English thesis while attending an engineering school): Here I am, an old man, in a dry month, waiting for rain being [entertained by NFL football],

finishing off a recent ER 10yr while awaiting both rain and Cdrs vs. Broncos.  Wish the damn rain would get here so I could skip dragging the damn hoses around the garden.

Is that too much to ask of the Fates????  If so, . . .

A couple of bottles got drained this weekend. First was a bottle of regular BT. Next we Lost a bottle of Blanton's followed by an older bottle of 1792 SB pick from our time back in NC. All were very good, but nothing spectacular. Looking forward to draining another bottle next weekend!

Show me watcha got!

These are my empties, but there are 5 song references that the classic old guys should have no problem with. Words aren't verbatim, but only reference possible songs lyrics or titles.

The 1st one to guess all 5 with the song and artist, will win a prize but must supply a shipping address to recieve..

Prize is a surprise. You can post prize and re-gift, WTH it's yours...

Headin' in or headin' out,  right out the door
taking out the recycling, these bottles are no more

Some good un's here but, my stash is getting thin
Away from me, the empties are going up around the bin

So, goodbye Mr. Soul, away you go there's no more teasin'
There were 2 of you and you both seem so pleasin'

Well there is no juice left alive in this 375
of 1920

While the VOB, LS EC & Barrel B were drained like a sieve
Stolen minutes of your time Were all you had to give

Also, not pictured an OF 100, finished today & gone
as usual cocktail, neat or cubed this was Bad to The Bone...
(George Thorogood - loved but not counted here)keep looking!!!

Well, I think that I had a good idea of three of these right off.  Then I broke down and googled the other two to get some guesses.  But, now, I think that the googling might be unfair.  So, maybe someone else will know all five without "research" and better deserve a chance at the surprise!

Finished off these guys over the last few weeks. Will have more time to focus on a steady bunker beatdown since retiring a month ago (four months later than planned). The 2011 OF BB was the first BB I actually found in the wild. Think I paid $35 or $38 for it.

I had to chuckle about your comment JC. My employee number at work was 86. There were times in argumentative but friendly banter that I’d say to someone, “You’re 86’d.” Some of the younger folks didn’t have a clue. The older folks just chuckled. There was one younger guy that I liked. One day he asked me what my comment meant. I had to tell him. I told him the polite version meant to “trash or throw out” something. The impolite version meant “ get the f**k out”. He smiled and said he liked the impolite version better. We had a good laugh about that. 😆

OK, here's my shot:

1. Bob Seger - No Man's Land
2. CCR - Up Around the Bend
3. Buffalo Springfield - Mr. Soul
4. Wings - 1985
5. The Cyrkle - Red Rubber Ball

Close???

BTW, this was a fun idea.

Thanks to bayouredd for the fun music quiz.  And, a real big thanks to him for the generous prize I received in the mail from him today.  I have a few different tasting glasses in my cabinet, but this one is a new one for me.  Stylish and functional, I am sure it will find a lot of use here.  Thanks, again.  Cheers!

Celebrating the last day of Bourbon Heritage Month with a little bottle kill (all of them were near the end):  Wild Turkey 101, Rebel 100, Elijah Craig SB, and Elijah Craig BP C922.  The Rebel has the newer Rebel label but the bottle still has Rebel Yell embossed on it.  Too bad it is probably one of many thousands, otherwise it could be a collector's item!
