Gotta get out that Turkey, Wild Turkey.

Going to need it watching my Buffalo Bills blow it.

Not a big fan of ER10, but I bought this one a while back, for charity, and it's been gathering dust. The boy is at the house for Thanksgiving,  and made a beeline for the bunker and grabbed this one.

It's really good, but with a splash of Stagg Jr., it is insanely good.

I heard today on Q 95 (local classic rock station) that the eve of Thanksgiving is the #1 drinking day of the year.  So you know it must be true.

I decided to open an EW B.I.B.

Cheers, and Happy Thanksgiving to all

Definitely the number one bar day.  Back home every bar is packed this night.

Probably took a couple years off my life but yes definitely great win.

My nephew sent me this, that he’s wearing today.

The WTKS was so damned good.  I wanted to stay in the Wild Turkey family and warehouse B always treats me well, so for my next pour I opted for a Russell's Reserve single barrel store pick from Spec's, also from warehouse B.   Also fantastic.

The turkey train is rolling now so I pulled out the RR13, in my glass now.

I think we’re drinking the same Russell’s pic, should’ve got more.  I saved what I had left for this day.

Science at its best.  The glass appears to have reached equilibrium with the bottle.

The bottle looks to be achieving a low fill level.  It might not be long before it hits the recycle bin.

Lining 'em up for Turkey day.

I'm hoping that our guests will help kill the Longbranch.

I mainly use it in recipes. I don't hate it, but I don't love it....let's put it this way, it's just "all right,  all right, all right"😉

My man!  Rock on!!

With you on the Long Branch but the rest are more than "all right."

Crumble Coffee Cake?  Sounds promising 🤔🤤🤤

I have that the descriptions on the Makers bottles are fairly apt.  It was good given that I like sweet and smooth.  And none of the bitter finish that wheats sometimes have.

Way to much to eat today.

But now it is dessert time!  KC12 is the perfect dessert for any occasion!

I know it may sound gross but I will be all over the first one I run across with "pizza" in the description.  😀

Curious to hear your tasting notes

Me too!  <hic>.

I'll have to try it again and be more thoughtful about it next time.  For the moment "lived up to its name, sweet, no bitter wheat finish" shall have to suffice.  Picked up a few of the recent Red Velvets as recommended by one of you, looking forward to trying those.

Why no notes?  Too busy being a glutton!  Booze included.

Had a beef Barolo (with salad, oven baked garlic & potatoes, and pumpkin pie) that was spectacular. Wifey & her twin sister (who owns a restaurant) used a slightly modified version of the Americas Test Kitchen (which we love) recipe.  Used to be that I would not do this dish because Barolo is normally so expensive.  But we found it so cheap at Costco ($20 each, see pic below, very drinkable as well) that we bought 20 just to be able to make this dish for the next few years.  So, so very good.  And cheap enough that even MBroo might use it for cooking!

Had a nice Veuve Cliquot before dinner, a Del Dotto Cab during, and a sweet Austrian Beerenauslese for dessert.  Followed by Widow Jane 13 to close out a great evening.

I am well & truly Thankful, with great reason.

Lamentably.  I'm saving the last bit for when my son visits in January after graduating from OSU.  He liked this one, so we'll share the last bit of it together.

I would try it out of sheer curiosity.  And then probably be reminded about cats.  😱

I was hoping for pictures of the food!  Yet, the pictures of your bottle collection is quite impressive as well!

Admirable on both counts!  Sounds like you are having a great holiday.  In PR?  Anyway, enjoy your family, your bourbon and life!  We have a lot to be thankful for.

Well, except, now my wife is making me watch a Hallmark movie instead of football.  🙁
